hi,Ohoopee wrote:Hello, I have been living in Ireland on work permit for the past two years. I am applying for a new permit with a different company. The company who is hiring me has never hired a non-Eu national before so we must include a P30, Registration number and a letter from the Commissioners office stating that the company is a registered company. We sent a request to the Revenue Commissioners Office back in late December requesting this letter and we still have not received it. I am running out of time. My current work permit and visa expires in March. I can't afford to wait any longer. I have tried calling the work permits phone number but I can never get through. My potential employer has also called the Revenue Commissioners Office. They said that they had received our request but that it had not yet be cared out but they would do so as soon as possible. That is all I have heard from them.
I am going to already have to see if the Immigration officer will give me a temporary stamp on my passport so I can stay, but I can't wait on this letter anymore. Is there anything else I can send it it's place? The company has their registration number provided by the Revenue Commissioners Office. Is this letter even necessary?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You would explain all of the story to the Immigraetion officer and this scheme is for work permit holdders. you are not a first person in this kind of situation. Thousands of people lost their jobs in recession. so the immigration officer would be well aware of it.This is great, thank you for pointing it out but, how could I possibly prove isn't my fault? We did send a request to Revenue Department in writing but I am almost positive my company doesn't have a dated copy of it.
There is no application form, this is an open scheme for all work permit holders. Just go to the GNIB , collect your ticket and on the window tell your story to the visa officer, he/she would know all this in advanced, also take the print out of the link with you before going to GNIB , might be you can show them as a reference.zafarzafar, I am probably still going to have to apply for that temporary visa. I went to the website that page you linked to said to go to but I wasn't able to find the application form for this temporary visa. Can some help me find it?
Hi!Ohoopee wrote:Hello, I just wanted everyone to know that I finally broke down and called the work permits help line. I hate using them because previously I was given incorrect information from them which also delayed my application.
But they told me that if I had the registration number and the p30 to just go ahead and send the application and if they needed more information, they would contact my employer. So I have done that this mourning.
