Extension approval document list ?

Post by nitin14980 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:22 pm

Hello All,

Currently I have HSMP visa due to expire in April 2010. I would like to know the list of documents required for HSMP extension.

Do I need to re-submit Academic Certificates and English Language support documents submitted with initial HSMP approval ?

Regards,
Nitin

Re: Delay

Post by vijay80 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 2:13 pm

I guess, we need not be worried about the delay, we can just go by the the annoncement at the UK Home office site about the application that are getting processed by the at present. The delay is mainly due to many number of applications they are dealing with. This is my friends' experience too. So, take it easy and all the best folks.

I applied on 22 Jan,
Fee got deducted on 27th (reflected on my card statement on 1 Feb)
Got Acknowledgement on 4 Feb
Recieved the stamped passports on 2 March.

Best Regards,
Vijay

It's approved on 23rd Febraury, and I received the documents back only on Mar 2nd.

Actually my visa expired on 16th Feb 2010, but since they approved only on 23rd, the visa end date is till 23rd Feb 2013 :)

All the best,
Vijay

hey,

Any update regarding your application, still awating for the same. have you tried contact the HO to check the status?
crazydragon wrote:I am still a bit positive coz everything we did is genuine,

And what do you think, How will be the chances if it is under verification?

drawat wrote:Im am not to sure myself, Is your solicitor an immigration solicitor, who has fought rejection and apeal cases in the past and does he have a good track record, as i am planning to consult with some experts in that field and be ready incase i am confronted with a situation like that ..

crazydragon wrote:Hi It is my firsttime application,

My solicitor is telling to wait till they reply, some people are telling that it will take 12weeks if it is gone for verification. It is 9 weeks before I applied

Home office said in the acknowledge reciept not to phone them about the application unless we need passport in emergency

I really dont know what to do now
What you are planning to do?

drawat wrote:hey so you havent yet recieved any response yet, have you tried chasing them.
was it your extension or a first time application?
have you thought of speaking to any immigration lawyer?

Does anyone know of any immigration lawyer who has been successful in such cases.

I'm speechless.. Just waiting and wondering as in what's going on.
I've even got my travel plans after 2 weeks and yet haven't received the docs and passport.

I'm even not relying on the Waiting Times as there are quite of them who applied on Jan 26 and they've got their results.

Hurray !! I got d visa finally !!!

Applied on : 27/01/2010
Received by HO: 28/01/2010
Fees deducted: 06/02/2010
Ack Letter date: 06/02/2010
Ack Letter Received: 12/02/2010
Issue Date: 01/03/2010
Documents received: 04/03/2010 via Royal Mail Signed delivery.
Coz did not send SD envelope. Would recommend others to send a pre-paid postage envelope.

The envelope was torn a bit, but all the documents and the passport luckily were intact and in proper condition

Just wanted to confirm the Visa stamp as its quite different than the HSMP one.

It reads as 'Residence Permit' and then Type of Permit reads as 'Tier 1 General Migrant'. Hope this is it ? Can someone please confirm ?

yesterday only I advised you that you would definately get this week.. here you go.. once again conratulations.

When you apply your visa in Uk you always get RESIDENCE PERMIT.. so thats is indeed correct.

Enjoy your evening.

Yep, signed delivery envelope attached. I hope they use it as I've read of other people's experience where they've included an envelope however it was never used!

Applying for extention 2 weeks prior to current visa expiry

Post by RCAM037 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:36 pm

I am travelling to France for two weeks prior to my current visa expiry (HSMP issued 15 June 2008, expires 15/06/10).

I arrive back in the UK on the 29/05/10 and plan to have my application ready to send on that day. Is this enough time? I don't expect there to be any issues as my application should be very straight forward.

But am I still entitled to stay in the UK as long as the HO has my extention application? Is there a letter I need to obtain before expiry or does my original application form just have to be with them by the time of expiry?

I would be so grateful for advice in this matter.
