As I said stop worrying if you have mentioned IVA on the form.

If not, then bookish advice would be to write a letter to UKBA and intimate that you forgot to mention IVA on your applications form. However, I would advise contrary to this.....8)

Thanks Eskar.

Now I have the same problem as one of the other members encountered. UKBA have sent the certificates to another council as opposed to my clear instructions on the application form.

Can some one advise what to do in order to bring back the certificates from the undesired council to the desired one.

Hey Eskar,

I am bit confused here, you've written "....i got letter from council for ceremony but didnt heard anything from UKBA.....". Are you talking about yourself? Have you received this letter from council ? or you have just quoted these lines from someone's post ?

Please clarify. Because if you have received this letter then my heartiest congratulations........''

Hi guys,

My timeline with my application so far:

NCS or Postal : Postal Leeds

Date of submission or posting : 23/02/2010

Date recieved by HO: 24/02/2010 (Special Delivery)

CRITERIA: 5yrs ILR (Have actually been in the UK with ILR since 1988) and also married to British Citizen.

Date of debit of Card : 27/02/2010

Date receipt of acknowledgement : 03/03/2010 (Dated 26/03/10 on letter)

Date of receipt of approval : Pending

Date of citizenship Ceremony : Pending

Date of passport application : Pending
Method used : TBA
Date for passport Interview: Pending
Date of Receipt of Passport: Pending

Reference number on letter began with S (letter of my surname) and some numbers.

I'm hoping it will be a smooth one from most of the timelines I've looked at that were straightforward, they received the approval letter 1 week and 1 day later. I think I'll give them a call on Thursday to see where it's at. I'm hoping that it would already be with a caseworker.

Good luck all! :)

The approvals of Eskar, myself, chzishan and many others alike depict a pattern as to the working of UKBA and the approval procedure. This might help many others still awaiting approvals.

Wish you all the best of luck, may you all get your approvals soon.

Congrats London102, Eskar and chzishan,

London102, I got my letter sent to my local council rather than the one I specified in my form. I was advised that its better to go along with this rather than try to reroute the letter back to the council. That would take a lot longer. Suggest you go along with the council they have picked to avoid any delays or confusion.

Regards - Spartac.

Hello spartac,

Thanks, I reckon it a valuable advice. Think I must adhere to what has been mentioned in the letter. Besides, its my local council and not that far away from my home. Its just that council building is situated right in the middle of city centre and almost impossible to find a parking place. Hence had opted for the nearby council.

Anyhow, I am rolling with the wave as it is.

Please advise whether or not you have mentioned this IVA (CCJ) on your application form.

If you have mentioned , then believe me IVA does not have any affect on the application. However not mentioning it at all and UKBA finding it out later somehow will definitely bring some unwanted results. This will also be detremental to any future applications.
Hi London102
No i didn't mention it, i didn't think of it at all. I am thinking to wait and see, I thought they only look for criminal courts.
Do you think I should appoint a solicitor?
by the way, when i applied for ILR, i didn't mention it on the application and I got the ILR, I am worried they will do more checks this time

As I said before stop worrying about this. Yes they do background checks, however mostly criminal activities related. If you are not worried about the criminal record, then give it a go.

By the way appointing solicitor will not help you apart from costing a huge amount. Writing to UKBA and informing (either through solicitor or yourself) will only bring harm to you. Bear in mind please that you have not mentioned this CCJ in your ILR application. Mention of this now (ofcourse the IVA (CCJ) occured before ILR) will automatically bring some undesired results.

Hold tight and wait.
