Naturalisation & Life in the UK exam question

Hi,

I have doubt, regarding the naturalisation application...

1 - When I apply for naturalisation... MUST I include the Life in the UK exam??

2 - I have read in some threads about a ceremony to british citicenship, when does that take place?

3 - Is that ceremony from the home office or the institution where you take the exam?

4 - Finally is Life in the uk exam obligatory when I send my application for British passport??

Really confused

Just in case you're having problems....
You need to pass the Life in the UK (KOL) test before you can apply for British Citsenship...or if your English is below level 3, you can study on an approved ESOL with Citizen's content course and show that you have progressed from one level to the next....this takes time and money.
Once your application for BC has been approved by the Home Office you will be invited by your local council to attend a Citizen's Ceremony...after which you will be offically 'British'.

Not unless you fall under any of the categories stated on the website...long term physical or mental condition with supporting medical evidence..or over the age of 65 or under 18.
No one is exempted on grounds of illiteracy or on length of stay in the UK.
I assume you didn't have to comply with this when you applied for your ILR?
