in summer 2011 govt launching a new system for citizenship but if someone have ilr and he dont want to become british so can he apply for benefits after this new system launched any idea
plz let me know if im saying anything incorrect

People who have permanent residence under the new rules will be eligible for benefits on the same terms as British citizens. Those who have been granted indefinite leave to remain under the old rules will, for the purposes of the new rules, be treated as having acquired permanent residence.
