What are the original Documents I should send?

Post by Shankar_24 » Fri May 07, 2004 1:45 pm

:?:

I am Applying from India.
1)What are the Original Documents I should send along with HSMP ( Under 28 ) Application form after the changes of April1,2004.?
2)Should I have to send my original Passport along with the Application now?
3)When do they Require the Passport?
4) Is it really safe to send the Original documents via FedEx or BlueDart or DHL?
5) How do I know that they have received my HSMP application?
6) After reviewing my Application, What if they require additional documents?
7) Is it advisable to apply by self rather than an Agent?
8)How long it takes to get the approval letter?

I will recommend you to read HSMP guidance very carefully and you will get most of your answers. Also read related old posts and most your questions are already answered.

4) Is it really safe to send the Original documents via FedEx or BlueDart or DHL?
Normally it is safe as far as Fedex is concedrned, but still a word of the liability, fedex will pay for only the cost of replacement of documents you insure, so it is your choice, HSMP also accepts Notarised photocopies of the original documents.

5) How do I know that they have received my HSMP application?
fedex online tracking will let you know
www.fedex.com go to India etc and follow instructions

6) After reviewing my Application, What if they require additional documents?
if they require additional documents they will ask you to provide within a specified time to take a decision.

7) Is it advisable to apply by self rather than an Agent?
agents are of not much use as HSMP is a pretty straight forward and very simple application.
only thing is gothrough the forum if you have any doubts rather than assume

8)How long it takes to get the approval letter?
now a days it is taking some time expect 4-6 months
look for HSMP updates that change from time to time
