Clarification required on Master's degree - please help

Hello,
I am applying for Tier 1 General and need your help. I have completed my master's degree from University of Madras. When I took Points Based Calculator, I found my university but found "IT / Computer Science" instead of "Computer Applications". I hope both are one & the same and I can go ahead with my application and there is no need for a letter from NARIC. Please can some one validate my assumption?

Also, grateful if you can let me know the testimonials needed for dependants (Spouse and kid).

ooo plz dont confuse me
even i m mca and IT/Comouter science are course subjects nt course name ,,,, stilll m nt sure ,, m also going by the same assumption , also i have seen many MCA's gettin T1 so it should be ok ,,,, but still sm senior member plz come to our rescue !!

Hi Mudit N Nbabu,

This has been answered by our GURU "RAMESH" in my one of the previous mails .
If you find your University in the List you can go ahead no need to go for UKNARIC .

Yes. They are same. If you can find your course and category underwhich your MCA qualifies you are fine. MCA can be considered as IT/Computers.

No need of NARIC certificate if you find your University in PBS Calculator and get points.
