Please update the forum any news at your end today. It is so frustrating to wait especially when HO has processed applications dated our application date!

Hi All!

i just checked my bank statement and my application fee was taken from croyden also which might explain the delay? see my dates below. applied earlier than some of you and still no sign of my documents:(

I am in same timeline as you, applied 1-feb, fee deducted on 11-feb....fee deducted from croydon office....called HO asked about the status, it seems application still in process, so seems need to wait more weekes...frustrating...

Hi pardass - did they say how long it might take as others with similar date (and assuming differnt centres) have been processed?

guys, i think Croydon Office is the Finance department. that's why the payment bit (1st section of the form) needs to be separated from the rest. Don't quote me on this. I only heard it from my friend.

Spang, did you enclose an SD envelope? I applied a day after you and haven't received it either.

I just checked in other forum, a person who applied on same timeline as me (applied 1-feb and fee deducted 11-feb) got passport todayby SD, decision made on yesterday, hope i can expect this by weekend (i have not provided SD so need to wait some days)

Lets hope so Kin, one thing i dont understand is why they cant have online tracking simple this will make our life less tensed..

Hey guys! Finally got my visa!! Effective 15/3/10 until 15/3/13. i did not send SD envelop. Applied on 4th feb, fees deducted on 13th Feb.

Congrats CSJ, where are you located? did they send docs by first class delivery?

I am located in Croydon. They sent it by recorded delivery although I did not put SD envelop with my application

HO does not send the documents back in first class or second class post. They are all sent by recorded delivery.

They sent it by recorded delivery although I did not put SD envelop with my application

Special delivery is different from recorded delivery. Recorded delivery takes the normal time as first class or second class post but just requires somebody to sign for. Whereas, special delivery guarantees the time by which it is delivered. Usually, the next day.

Finally!!! i got my Visa today.. Yay!! what a relief. I have been frequenting this website for last 2 weeks to find solace in knowing when other people have been receiving their passport back. Now its my time to give back.

My Timelines:

Application Sent: 05/02/2010
Application at HO: 06/02/2010
Fee Deducted (as shown on bank statement) : 15/02/2010
Bank Statement detail: Home Office, Croydon
Acknowledgment letter dated: 13/02/2010
Acknowledgment received: 16/02/2010
Visa Stamped: 15/03/2010
Passport received:17/03/2010
No SD envelope attached.
Visa Location: Sheffield

I hope this helps you..oh by the way my bank statements were duplicate statement on bank letter head, but not stamped with a seal or signed or attached any letter by bank.The statements did show my name,account type,number,etc..

Its seems many guys who applied after me got thier passports, is there any one here with same time line as me or applied before and still waiting for the passport?

Applied: 1-feb
Reached:2-feb
Fee deducted:11-feb from Croydon office
Ack Letter dated:11-feb and recieved on 15-feb
SD not attached

I have sent extra photos later, could be the reason for delay...

Pardass, my timeline is similar to yours and I applied only a day after you with no SD envelope enclosed either. I think spang appplied on 1st and Kin a later, but they too haven't received their applications back yet. I think our applications might be with the same (lousy

) caseworker. It is very agonising to see others receiving their applications when we applied before them but all we can do is wait.
