hi there, yes i applied mine on the 2nd of feb..so, still waiting. Today is surely not 'the' day as the post man didn't bring me anything. we only get letters delivered once a day.

Hi Pardass, you have mentioned in your message that you have sent some additional photos later, may i know why you did so. Did HO asked you send new or any other reason.

I have sent my application time line is as below:

Application Sent: 23/02/2010
Payment Deducted: 25/02/2010
Ack'ment Received: 27/02/2010
Awaiting Docs..

The photos i have sent with my application were a week and a month older from the date of application, I'm not sure should i send another pair with a recent ones. or shall i leave it as they are.

Could senoirs please suggest as well on this.

Fee Deducted (as shown on bank statement) : 13/02/2010
Bank Statement detail: Home Office, Croydon
Acknowledgment letter dated: 13/02/2010
Acknowledgment received: 18/02/2010
Visa Stamped: 17/03/2010
Passport received by SD:18/03/2010
Visa Location: Sheffield

All the best to all who are waiting for their docs. I understand how it is.

You should be fine, in my case i sent with 1 year old photos and realized after a week and sent a pair of new photos to HO before they ask me (but usually they ask by email or post if they want new photos) to avoid further delay in my application

Hi mate.

Today, I got my passport, I collected it from main post office. The issue date is 12th March, and it took 5 days though 2nd class record mail. It is so slow.

My updated timeline is:

sent 28./01/2010
arrival 29/01/2010
ack dated 07/02/2010
payment deducted 09/02/2010
issued date 12/03/2010
received date 18/03/2010 (collected from post office)

For rest of us it's another day of staring at the window so kin, spang and pardas please update should there be any development. Based on twang and sudhi4uk applications I feel at least some of should get the good news today.

Kin, i think we have roughly the same timelines. Did you have dependants also? this wait is driving me crazy. Was due to fly out of the country in 1.5 weeks time. i dont think we are going to make it.

I had a plan for overseas trip this weekend, based on the processing time in the past i had booked the ticket and just cancelled it, so unpridictable dealing with HO, hope you should be fine as you have one more week

hi pardass,

im sorry to hear that. yeah HO is so unpredicatble. My friend applied in jan and got it back in 4 weeks. i applied giving myself 8 weeks just in case. it seems as though i should have sent it earlier.
hang in there guys! hopefully soon. at least we have this forum as support and gives us a rough idea about delays etc.

Acknowledgment received : 18th Feb 2010 (dated 13th Feb)
Visa approved on : 16th March 2010 (valid for 3 years)
Visa received on : 19th March 2010 (no SD attached)

Great news gtd and congratulations, at least somebody got it back today.

I have only two days to get my passport back before my flight on Tuesday. I m hanging by a thread now but it's the updates like yours that keep my hopes afloat.

Quick update folks, Kin, Spang, Pardass keep an eye out for the postman coz I quickly went home from work to check and I am glad to say that have finally received my passport so you guys should get it either today or tomorrow.

Its was one hell of a wait but I can finally get on my flight next week.
