From the Statement of Changes on the new rules for Tier 2....

Can existing Tier 2 (ICT) holdders apply for settlement when they complete 5 years in the UK?

Or have I got it wrong?

according to my understanding tier 2 extension apps are not affected by changes in rules at all...

You are correct, only initial applications, not extensions.

I am currently on ICT and am switching to T2 Gen. I am going toIndia to apply for the same. Will the period i already spent in T2 ICT be counted towards my 5 years for PR ?
