Switching from work permit visa to Tier 1 visa

Switching from work permit visa to Tier 1 visa

Can anyone confirm what is the visa status if an application for switching from Work permit visa to Tier 1 visa (HSMP) is rejected ?

Can I still continue working against my work permit visa and reapply at a later stage or does the Work permit visa becomes void when I apply for switching to Tier 1 visa ?

You can work on your WP Visa if it valid and this is after even if the Tier1(G) Visa is rejected
