1. That is correct. All applications initially go to Nova Scotia where they are checked to ensure that you qualify for further processing. They will check to make sure you have the experience in the list of occupation they need, that you have at least 67 points, etc. If you pass the check, they will forward your application to the visa office near you which will then process the application, do the security chack and ask for medical.pktamil2007 wrote:Hi,
the Instruction guide document for PR states :
' If your application is recommended for processing at a Visa
Office, you will be required to submit a copy of your application to
that office with a complete set of documents described in the Visa
Office specific requirements'

2. And CIO itself issues the PR directly?
Or am I understanding it wrong?
Anyone, please clarify
Thanks a lot
You have already asked this question an gotten an answer:pktamil2007 wrote:Thanks a lot Ray for all your help.
I have one more question though:
If my spouse is applying as the main applicant, after landing in Canada, if she decides not to work, will I be eligible to work being as spousal applicant?
Proof of fund before you land or after? You dont show proof of fund after you land. Please re-read my previous answer. Once you become a PR, you have all the rights and obligations of the PR, irrespective of being the main applicant or noit the main applicant.pktamil2007 wrote:Sorry Ray, I should have framed the question more precisely.
My situation is
If my wife is the main applicant and I am the spousal applicant and if she decides not to work, is there any criteria that the main applicant should be working to show proof of funds?
