Thanks guys, Kin, all these recent updates from Gtd, Sudhi, Twang, Nagu, Seema and me only mean that the applications from first week of Feb have all been processed. This means that any remaining applications from that period could only be in the post unless it was a very dodgy one. I hope you can see the trend here. Since none of you are flying next week, I would suggest just wait for another day or so, you are bound to receive it.

All the very best.

During the week commencing 22 March 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 1 March 2010. This timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

Kin, hang in there. I have similar time lines to you. I have a feeling something has gone wrong with our payment process as the fee was only taken out for the main applicant and not the dependent. If this is the hold up its an error on Home office part - which is frustrating. I'm suppose to fly overseas in 1.5 weeks time. Don't think I'll make it. Disappointed but we need to just hang in there!

Acknoledgement letter

Post by jagsy_m » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:43 am

Maria,
I have not received the ack letter as well. I called the helpline and the lady advised me that if the fee has been charged, there is nothing to worry about and not receiving the acknoledgement letter does not mean that there is a problem with your application.

My Timeline

Sent:- 18th Feb
Received:- 19th Feb
Fee charged:- 19th Feb
Ack letter:- Not received
Waiting..............

BT,
Your case is impossible to imagine. Did you contact your Employers payroll or any other contact that you provided in your application, to see if they have been contacted. If HO is doing supplimentary checks, they should have contacted any of the guys who can verify your information.

Hi All,

I applied for Tier 1 along with my 2 dependants through in person appointment at Sheffield Home Office today 23rd Mar 2010 and got it within 4 hours.

Thanks to all of you for quick resolutions of numerious queries and in fact I learned a lot regarding different issues which might be raised while applying through this forum and probably would be in position to help others in future :)

Wish you all the best who are loking for this in future and big hands for those who made it easy to work it out..

Cheers
Ishaan
