Using your numbering :-
  1. Section 3(1)
  2. I don't think it is clear what date should be entered, but I don't think it matters particularly. Personally I would enter the date of the first visit to the UK.

Hi f2k,

My baby was born in UK and she is dependant to me.I have hsmp visa and am applying for ILR on march31,2010 in person.
My husband is applying for ILR on 9th march,2010.

I need to know do I need change my childs visa status to ILR before
applying for registration certificate?
Is it ok if i aplply for ILR not incluidng my baby and later apply for baby registeration?
she is 13 months old.

Please suggest,
Thanks

f2k wrote:Just wanted to say got registration certificate for my baby.

Applied: 10 June 09 (Croydon NCS)
Applied Under Section 1(3)
Acknowledgement Letter Received: 19 June 09
Payment deducted: 21 June (paid by cheque £460)
Registration Certicate received: 26 June Dated (23 June 09)

Thats just about 2 weeks to complete. Child was born here in UK and did not have ILR.

I went with my passport and wife's passport with our ILR's (only one was required but the NCS registrar said since i had them there she might as well copy them) and birth certicate which was also copied so i left with my originals.
Also the application did NOT have any referees. Hope this helps those struggling to get referees for their babies

Hi there,

it is up to you to obtain ILR for your baby and then to register the baby after one of the parants gets the ILR ot not to apply for ILR for the baby and register the baby directly after one of the parents gots the ILR

Good luck

Goody

Thanks Goody,

I have applied for registration today (04/03/2010) for both my daughters. I sent off a postal application and documents in Special Delivery. I did not use NCS, as I could not be bothered to make an appointment with them and I did not want to spend an extra £100! (£50 for each child, Outrageous!)

For MN1 registration, any section that you got answer for you should fill it in, in my case my child was just born in UK last Dec and we did not go anywhere since birth so there was many sections that I left it without answer and there was any problem also for the refree any body he knows you for last three years even if he she is a family friend, so you should not worry at all

Best wishes

Goody

I am applying for registration of my children born in UK before I got ILR using MN1 form under Section 1(3). I need some help filling in the form. Thanks in advance.

Do I need to fill Section 2: Residence requirements?

2.1 Date of arrival? My Chidren are born in UK

2.2 Details on other parent's address??

2.3 Absences. Does it need to be filled for Section 1(3)?

Section 3. Parent's Residence in the UK and absences. Do I need to fill this section as it does not matter to make a decision based on Section 1(3)?

Section 5. Referees.

Can a doctor who know us personally act as the first referee?

I am not planning to use NCS and help with the above would be appreciated as I do not want my application rejected.

Thanks.

No baby did not have a passport. I dont remember now, i will see if i still have a copy of the form. I dont think it actually matters though, you could put N/a or your nationality whichever is most applicable

We have got PR (EEA route).
Older child born in UK before we got PR, younger one after we got PR.

Can we send MN1 for Older one now?
What about the younger one? Apply for Passport direct?

thanks

An interpretation of that is that you have not sent any proof that the parents have ILR.

I suppose so but there was no request (on the form and guide) to send parents passport, only asked when parent got ILR

I think you are OK with the MN1 for the older child but am not sure about the Passport for younger as when applying for the passport they also ask for registration certificate which you do not have.
Joh, JaJ or other expert here can answer that question.
Good luck..

Thanks John,
I understand what you are saying and that is what is worrying me. On the other hand I think the child cannot get ILR if either of the parent's don't have ILR and hence isn't it obvious as my children's passport have ILR? Anyway I do hope they come back to me and request parent's passport if they want and not reject the application. fingers crossed

Second child is already British and hence no need for registration. Apply for passport directly with proof that parent had ILR at the time of birth.

I now just have to wait. She said it might be 1 and 1/2 weeks for me to get the post. What service do they use 'Royal Snail Mail'?

Thanks petra and TC for your comments.

I am apllying for passport for the younger.

The older one already received "Registration Certificate" on blue card with covering letter "ECD.3107" when we got our PR(confirmation) last week.
So I am really confused now.
Can anybody please confirm what do you get after succesful MN1 application?
Which document and What is the covering letter no?

Regards
