UK Tier 1 (General) Processing Time for VFS Delhi

Hi,

It seems that every BHC and VFS has its own processing time depending on their workload. So I request those who have applied for Tier 1 (General) visa from VFS delhi to kindly post their timelines. This will benefit other guys a lot.

My TimeLines:

I am still waiting for my visa. The list of documents that I submitted are -

- last 12 months signed and stamped payslips along with one year bank statement (dot matrix statement with bank logo on each page and signed/stamped by bank on each page) for previous earnings.
- original passport for age.
- original masters degree certificate along with all original mark sheet reports for qualification and english language (degree on PBS). Also submitted letter from college for english language though it was optional for me.
- maintainence fund letter from bank on bank letter head along with last 3 months bank statement (again dot matrix statement with bank logo on each page and signed/stamped by bank on each page).
- VAF9 form
- Appendix form

This is really weird. VFS Delhi is taking time more than One months and still not able to process when all the documents submitted looks fine and straight forward.

Yes. correct. And whenever I call for an update then they tell that it would only take another week for processing. I am not sure for the delay but i suspect that they are doing some kind of verification and not getting the response back. Like for e.g. my maintainence fund is in public sector nationalized bank and I feel that they are not responding back (I also called them but they told that they had not got any thing for the verification). You can imagine the efficiency of babus in these banks!!

Buddy thats the real pain in ***. These Nationalized banks are real pain they don't know the meaning of customer care actually they never heard of something like that. I think that may be the problem. I am praying for you my dear friend. I never met you but keep this in mind that the second person who will be very happy after you will be me when you get your visa stamped.

@Raj5 - I called VFS at their customer care number 08040084008. It is functional from 8 AM to 5 PM Mon to Fri.

Is there any use to call the helpdesk ? I dont think so.... coz they will only search and let you know the status of your application (which you can do it yourself via sms or website). Further they will say that its usually takes 15 days and it depends on case to case and VFS does not play any part in Visa.

Tier1 Asprants - What Ansaj is saying is correct as VFS doesnt deal with processing of visa.

How long bank letter for fund maintainence is valid ? one month or 7 days.

Dot matrix printout doesnt have bank phone numbers . Is it workable..

Or shall I give the bank details in the covering letter.

Bank letter is valid for one month from the date of issue. To be on the safer side better you take the Original Bank Statements or the the paper should have the Bank's logo sealed and stamped.

..Called BHC today and they did not tell anything except that it is under process and they can't disclose further things which is as per my expectations..Now I am not sure whether it is procedural delay or some kind of verification delay. I have already asked my maintainence fund bank but they did not get any verification call or letter..

@anasj: Added you on yahoo messenger..Yes I got the under process message on Sunday. I too was surprised but might be its an automated message after 4-5 days of application (looks like everybody gets it after 4-5 days).

Not much. They just told that I should wait and they cant disclose other details regarding the application. But I have heard that everytime we call they tell something different.
