Student visa+Tier2+Tier1-->ILR

Hi All,

I've currently hold a Tier 1 (G) valid till Jan 2013. I plan to apply for ILR under the 10 year rule on Dec 2012.

However I intend to stay in my home country for one year and then come back to the UK. Would I qualify for ILR under the 10 year rule? How long can I be absent from the uk during this 10 years?
