Congrats ! One doubt though,
You said -

So did you submit any kind of tax returns statement for feb-mar 2009 ? If yes, then what ? If no, then is it required to mention here ?

--- I missed to keep this in my previous post .. I have provided Form 16 and Saral Form which are not required if you keep original bank statements and Payslips, Provide only bank statments and Pay slips and remove this from your cover letter " The tax year in India starts from 01st April and ends in 31st March. So my latest Income Tax Returns cover the period from April-2008 to March-2009.

if you are not comming within 28days.. you dont need to show anything extra at the Immigration apart from just keep all ur docs handy and have ur TB report..

this 28days stuff comes into light when the ILR comes up (if the current rules remains same) where you have to go for extra extension of ur visa.. so it is long way now..

Congrats kommsu.

I have few doubts here on your application:

1) In your cover letter, you are addressing as:
To
The Immigration Officer,
Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP)

Is this correct? Can we address as HSMP (HSMP is no longer applicable) or something other like Tier 1 General VISA??

2) You have provided original master degree certificate and provisional certificate for English language proof.
Are they enough?
Don't we require proof from college?
Don't we need to attach points calculator copy saying my college is listed in database?

My college can be found in points calculator database. I can't find my course M.Tech listed directly in that box, but I can see Masters degree. So do I need to get letter from college in this case?

Thanks to all ...

...1)They dont bother about 'toAddress' in cover letter .. same address I too copied from coverletters available in this forum.
2) Just Original cetificates are enough if they are showing points in PBS to you ..I just submitted PG OD & PG provisional cum marks memo for English language requirement and Qualification & come to your point Mtech also falls under PG so that u can select masters degree in PBS after selecting your college .. no need to get certificate from college.

Hope these answers your queries.

Thanks&Regards,
Suresh.K

According to the present rules you should have Masters to qualify, but the rules have changed and the new rules come into effect from 6th April 2010, the PBS has not be updated yet. To see if you qualify, check the below link.

I tried to simplify it in INR. I have taken currency multiplier as 5.3 and GBP to INR exchange rate as 1 GBP = 70 INR.

Earnings in INR ---------Points

462,252 to 528,289 - 40 Points
422,629 to 462,251 - 35 Points
383,007 to 422,628 - 30 Points
343,384 to 383,006 - 25 Points
303,761 to 343,383 - 20 Points
264,151 to 303,760 - 15 Points
Upto 264,150 - 0 Points
