Here also you can see one of the guy submitted in Jan 2010 and his visa rejected becoz of electronic statement. I think thats why the VFS lady asked me to submit original statements. But again it differs from case to case.

Thank you friends...

I need to know something. I got my visa validity from 23rd March. My question is, is it necessary to go to UK within 3 months? and even after I move to UK i cannot leave UK more than 3 months.

I am asking this because somewhere in forums i saw that we cannot leave UK for more than 90days. But today when i enquired the same to a visa consultant, she said there is no restriction and I can go to UK even after an year.

Please let me know what is right, i am really confused.

You can enter at any time and leave any time!
But better before 28 days and not to be out for more than 3 months. The reason is that it will impact you, when you apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)

Hi friends,

I got my tier 1 visa today. The status changed yesterday and I got my passport back today :)

Thanks to all the members in the forum for actively supporting me specially tvn_ramesh, vks and smarty.

My visa starts from 29th March 2010 while I requested my travel date as 15th May 2010. I asked VFS guys and they told that BHC can change it but it is very busy right now and this may take long time (probably a month as according to them BHC Delhi has large work load right now). I will travel on 15th May and can't travel before it (and I really can't go again with waiting phase for so long). So I guess I will need another extension for ILR after five years.

I reached London safely. Wonderful flight and very smooth immigration. Love the weather here. Going to Wales to spend long weekend. Happy Easter. Thanks.

Thanks buddy. I applied from India only and got positive response from 3 companies as they showed interest in my profile and want to meet after Easter.
I entered UK just to fulfill 28 requirement for ILR. And planning to go back in 3 weeks. Will come back again after 2 to 3 months i.e. before 90 days. Right now just as a tourist.

@Raj5 - Congrates buddy!! Wish u all the best.

@Smarty - All the best dear..enjoy ur trip. Can you please tell what is required at the port of entry and what documents do they see? I assume that they would ask for some accomodation proof and maintainence fund proof along with Chest X-Ray.

You have to fill in the address in UK when you will ask to fill the Landing card in the flight only. So just keep your address in UK. And also Chest X-Ray. Apart from that they didn't asked me anything.
One thing that I have observed at the Immigration at UK is that it was easier to get pass the British Immigration officer rather than the Desi's. Becoz there were 3-4 Desi Immigration officers and on an average they were taking 10 - 15 mins of one passenger while the British ones taking hardly 5 mins. This was my personal observation and others have the right to differ.

I agree buddy!! Last time when I went to UK I was grilled so much by delhi officers while immigration guy in UK just let me in without any kind of fuss.
