initial application-Spouse travel details.Urgent!

Post by s19779 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 4:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

In the 'personal details' form, Part 5a says....... "Is your partner accompanying you or joining later? If they are traveling later please provide their date of travel in part 7".

My spouse will be applying after I am successful and she will join me later or we may travel together. So, what should I fill: yes or No or N/A?

The answer should not affect her application later.

Thanks

Hi,

Hope you should not worry about this and leave it blank. As you are not applying for her along with you.

Seniors please correct if I am wrong.

Thanks,
Dev

You cant leave it blank. It is 'Yes' if she is travelling with you or 'No' if she is not.

Thank you Aruni,
But if you say NO then hope he needs to give a travel date when she is travelling later right?

Regards
Dev

If I say NO then it means either she is not travelling with me or she will not travel later for the next 12 months as per the application form.

That shouldnt be a problem. How can anyone be so sure that their dependant would not travel for the next 12 months? Family situation might change and they might need to travel with you. I dont think the HO is so particular. You can mention the same in a cover letter with her application.
