Urgent help required switching from Tier 1(PSW) to Tier2(Gen

Hi all,

Urgent help required. Please help. I am on post study work visa & working for my employer for past 7 months & continuing the same job under permenant contract. I am attending interview for Tier 2 (Gen) on 31/03/2010 within UK. My current visa Tier 1 (post study work) expires on 13/10/2010. My employer issued me with certificate of sponsporship with work dates: start date: 14/10/2010 - End date: 14/10/2013.

My questions:

1. Will i get my visa valid from 14/10/2010 - 14/10/2013 even if i apply on 31/03/2010?

2. What status (Tier 1 or Tier 2) i will be having from 31/03/2010 - 14/10/2010? Because if a new visa is stamped old visa automatically run out ( confirmed after ringing Border & immigration )?

3. Can i still continue working under Tier 1(PSW) till oct/2010?

Hi all,

The only solution myself & my employer found at last after discussing with border & immigration office is that my employer has to cancel my current COS & issue a new COS.

My employer has to pay again to issue new COS.

Confused why your employer issued CoS on a contract job. all the same, best of luck.
