Earnings Criteria/Salary Multiplier after April 5

Post by rackspace » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:19 pm

Currently I come under the Group D countries and according to my knowledge, I am getting an earning multiplier of 5.3 (correct me if I am wrong)

So I am getting 25 points for the previous Earning.

I wanted to know how will these points be affected after April 6?

You need 75 points only! :) + 10 for Maintenance funds and 10 for English language requirements which are mandatory..

Did you multiply your GROSS SALARY with the conversion rate of 5.3 and divide it by exchange rate or not??

sorry for the above mistake. i wanted to say that I am getting 25 points currently. let me ask my questions again.

After April 6:
= Do india/pakistan has salary multiplier of 5.3?

= Previously any one from group D countires was getting 25 points if his/her income was over 4900 pounds. But now the base salary requirement has increased, will this increase also cause increase in salary bands for group D countires?

= I have scored IELTS 7.5 .. with minimum 7 in all modules, will I still need a letter from university that my education was in English?

There is no change in the upliftment ration from APril 6 2010, as I understand!

No you do not need any document from your university since you have passed your IELTS exam.

You might need a NARIC certificate to verify that your degree is comparable to UK's degree if your university is not listed in the database of home office (Check Home office website's point calculator)[/quote]
