Moving to USA as a nurse specialist

Post by alcot33uk » Fri Mar 26, 2010 2:10 pm

Hi All,

First post so please be gentle!

My wife and I are looking to move to the USA.

She is a Nurse specialist in Fertility here in the UK.

We would like to move to the East coast from Florida up.

Does anyone here know of a specialist organisation that recruits specialist Nurses?

Many Thanks

Alex

I would check out this website, it might be useful: http://www.nursing-jobs.us/

I don't know much about the need in that area, but nurses are definitely needed throughout the US. I know nurses in North Carolina pay well, but again, I don't know much about the fertility speciality.

The site above will allow you to search by location and register your details, including which visa you'll need to apply for, if that is the case.

Best of luck.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if nurses are needed in the US or not. Your wife would need to a) make sure that her qualifications are recognised in the US, by taking appropriate exams (which probably depend on the state) and b) find a potential US employer who is willing to petition for her.

There aren't many experts on US immigration in this forum, you may have better luck on this one:
