Home office / Worker reference number

Post by HSMPAegis » Fri Mar 26, 2010 9:24 pm

Hi great people
What is Home Office Reference number and Worker Reference number?

I am doing my HSMP extension application form (Tier 1 General). Came to the UK with Working Holiday visa on Dec 2007 with Entry Clearance from New Zealand. Before my departure to the UK, I already had HSMP approval and got full HSMP on 22 Apr 2008 and got Residence Permit in April 2008 while I was in the UK. Therefore, I have two reference numbers on my passport.

What do I write to question B10 and B11? Also what is Point Based System migrant reference number? Is it the number I can find on HSMP approval letter?

Please help!

Kind regards,

This will on your HSMP visa, which the Home Office use to track your past applications! You may leave it blank, if you don't have one!

Home office reference number

OK, is it the UK******* number on the top right hand side corner of my visa? Should I just leave it blank? But then on my application, there will be no HSMP visa number to put because I am putting Working holiday visa number on D4 (Came to the UK with Working Holiday and later switched to HSMP in the UK. Had HSMP approval while I was in New Zealand though...)

Since you got the HSMP, did you receive your HSMP approval letter? The number on it is the Home Office reference number!

Right the actual question is:
B11. Give details of any current or previous worker reference number(s) under work permit arrangements (if applicable):

Home office reference number

I see. Thank you so much 'vks'
Just one last question, then I can submit.

Above, you mentioned Home Office reference number is on..
1) the visa itself and
2) on the HSMP approval letter
So should I write both of them or one of them?

Both the numbers should be the same, when you say Home Office Reference Number or HO reference number on your Visa, it may be hand written!

home office reference number

Hmmm...not really... Maybe that's why I am confused...
The reference number on HSMP initial approval letter has got 6 digits only. The number on my HSMP residence permit is 'UK' followed by 7 digits.

write down the 6 digit number! (HO would have other ways to track an individual than this reference number, say name and the dat of birth) Don't worry much on this!

1. Photos to the spec. and should not be more than a month old. Especially, we need to ensure we don't send the same photo that we sent it for previous visa.
2. How about Maintenance fund proof?(assuming that you are planning with the same bank statements)

Wouldn't it be the same as the bank statements for earnings proof?

Yes I have. Photos were taken this week and maintenance of fund more than £800 is ok as well. I have two bank accounts and one has got up to end of Feb, and the other one shows balance and transactions until 10 Mar 2010 (Printed on 25 Mar but no transaction since then..)

Just another question.
Is my sales occupation Sales Person if I'm a Personal Banker?

I was not clear in the question!

Yes, kind of. Basically, both accounts are having balance over £800 and salary is coming into one of them. Just for May 2009 payment, salary has come into the other account but I mentioned on cover note.

Hope that's enough.
