Hi , I applied in 22nd March and got acknowledgement letter dated 23rd March , which I received 27th March.

Well, my application was delivered on the 19th of March and my cheque has since cleared,but I have not received any acknowledgement.

UPDATE:
I received my ack letter today and it was dated the 26th. I guess they waited for the full cheque clearing cycle(6 working days) before acknowledging payment. Who in their sane minds would issue a dummy cheque anyway??!!

Hi,

Sent the application on 10th March, 2009, home office received it on 11th March, 2009 and payment deducted on the same day. No ack letter till now.

Applied on 25th, application received HO on 26th, payment deducted on 29th...Still waiting for Ackn.

Have also received my UKBA Ref Number on 30th March.Postal order payment encashed 29th March.

That was rather quick mate. I applied long before you so....! Anyways, it doesn't work like that I know and I combined four different earnings so it's gonna take a while with all their checks etc.
