Tier1 dependent visa queries

Post by eskay_s » Fri Mar 19, 2010 2:20 am

Hello All,

I have got my tier1(general) visa recently and the visa validity has started from 27-Feb-2010.I am still in India and planning to travel in April 2010.Before travel to UK ,I would like to apply the dependant visa to my wife and I am maintaining the required funds from the past 3months in my personal bank account in India.
Could you please clarify my below mentioned doubts while filling the form VAF10?

1) Since I am currently in India and not traveled on my HSMP Tier1 visa till now ,what should mention for following questions in VAF 10 (Feb 2010) form.Should I leave them blank or N/A?

7.13: if the main applicant living in UK what permission do they have to stay there?

7.14: What job or course of study is the main applicant doing in UK?

7.16: Name and address of the company or place of study, including postal code

7.17: Name and Telephone number of main contact in the company or place of study, including area code

7.18:When did/will the main applicant's job or course of study begin?

7.19: When is the job or course of study expected to finish?

2) While applying my HSMP Tier1 visa ,I have mentioned in my covering letter saying that my spouse will join later after 6months.But Now I decided to apply the visa to my wife before I travel to UK.So is there any problem?

Please help me with my queries..

Thanks in advance

Thanks Ramesh for the reply.

Could you please clarify below points also:

1) Do I need the rental agreement of UK based house/flat ,while applying the dependent visa in India?

As the main applicant (my self) is still in India and I am just wondering do I need 'UK rental agreement' also to apply my wife's visa in India?

2) Do I need to book the air tickets to UK and submit the same while applying the dependent visa?

Thanks for the help

Here I am listing out the documents while applying dependent visa,Plz let me know if I need to submit any extra docs:

1) Marriage Certificate
2) Dependent's Passport
3) 3 Months Bank statements (which I am maintaining equivalent GBP 4400 (2800+1600) in my salary account from past 3months.)
4) My passport copies(1st page and last page and HSMP tier1 visa page)--Is hsmp visa page enough or do I need all the visa pages
5) Covering Letter
6) VAF 10 form

Tier 1 dependant visa refusal query

Post by ahtesham4all » Tue Mar 30, 2010 8:34 pm

Hello,

My wife has recently applied for a visa on 08-03-2010 to enter in the uk.

Unfortunately the visa has been refused on the grounds that, I her husband, was not present at the time of the wedding. I can confirm I was present at the wedding and had come to india on 31st december 2009 which is supported by the immigration entry stamp on my passport.

It seems that assumption is based on the poor quality of my passport copy initially sent to them. However i hav now made the arrangement to sent them a further copy which clearly shows the date I had arrived in india.

Please help me ?
do i have to reapply or is that anything i could notify them that i did go to india at the time of our wedding

Thanks
Sham
