Calling Applicants in March 2010-Timelines & Exprience

Hi Everyone,
I have applied @ Bangalore today for Tier 1.
And requesting all who had applied for Tier 1 in this month.
Both who applied and who have got the visa in March.

Starting with me...................


Just a glimpse of what happened there:

I went there at 6 AM and joined as 11th or 12 th person in the que formed already.

At 8AM, the 8:00, 8:10 & 8:15 appointments where asked to enter and then we were let one by one. We were in by 8:20, Payed the fee, got the token from enquiry and it was 8:35. A small que at enquiry!

The appointments were flowing and so were people in que without appointments.

There was almost a 45 minutes pause @ one token (token 112 ) and it was not changing and frustrated everyone. Finally when it changed to 113, everyone applauded and it was fun!

Submitted at 11:10 AM and biometrics in the next 15 minutes.

Left VFS @ 11:30 AM.

Dispatched to BHC : 26th Mar 2010

I applied on 8th March. It was sent to HO on the same day (as per the SMS I received). Status changed to "Under Process" on 13th March. Status changed to "Processed" on 23rd March. Got approved visa along with all other documents on 24th March at home address.

Experience at VAC was fine...!!! As I'd already taken an appointment, didn't have to wait for a longer. I would suggest all of them who wish to apply in future.... please take an appointment and then go... it saves your time....!!

I applied for tier 1 defendant for wife on 10th March. It was just a matter of not more than 15 minutes at VFS MUMBAI (ville parla) as we had taken prior appointment. (It was surprising. Because at the time of my tier 1 even with appointment it took more than 1 hour)

Got defendant visa stamped on 26th March

My application is in the same status : "Application forwarded to BHC".

How long will it take them to start the process?

Now since holidays have come up and it extends till 5th april, will they take it immediately from 6th April or is there any back logs already??
