Applying HSMP Extension Confusion [2 months/ 5 weeks]

Post by sukumar_engg » Tue Feb 14, 2006 12:59 pm

Dear All,

I am bit confused regardigng when to apply for HSMP Extension whether 2 months before or 5 weeks before.

I have gone through articles in this forum which speaks about 2 months before HSMP visa expires.

(1) In the following home office website it is mentioned that HSMP extension must be applied 2 months before the leave to remain expires.

http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... p_faq.html?

(2) IN the FLR (IED) application form on page no 16 it is mentioned that you should apply for further leave to remain no sooner than five weeks before your existing leave expires
FLR IED: http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... _saved.doc

In my case I would like to apply 2 months before my visa expires so that I can go to India for visit for a urgent work.

Should I apply for HSMP Extension 2 months before my HSMP visa expires ?
Awaiting your response.

Thanks in advance.

I know I will have a perfect answer from this forum which has been providing not only great advice but also moral support.
With Best regards,
Sukumar

Yes you can apply 2 months in advance and they will aceept your application as has been the experience of a lot other people who have applied for their extensions.
