Passport expiring - Tier 1 second extension

Hi,

I am in a tricky situation. My Tier 1(General) is due for renewal for further two years on 7th July 2011. My passport expires on 17/09/2012. I can only send my passport for renewal one year before expiry, hence not before I request visa extension. Will my Tier 1 extension be for two years or till this passport expires? Please advise.

Your Visa will be for 2 years. You can extend your passport later. You may choose to move the valid visa to the new passport or carry both the passports, while travelling
