Original Bank Statement Not Sent With Application

Post by Perdesi007 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:39 am

Hi All,

I have applied for T1 General visa on 01.04.2010 and i sent original bank statements for last 11 months & 3 weeks. Last one week's statement was not original but it was signed and stamped by Bank Manager, I have got hold of original statement now for last week. Should I send it to HO or just keep it with myself? If Your answer is Yes, I should send it to them immediately, do i have to attach any form with it and also I haven't received any reference number or acknowledgment letter from HO, what should I mention so my caseworker can have it.

// Note: I did mention in covering letter about this statement that I'm waiting for the original one but have attached signed and stamped statement for last 7 days from Bank Manager.

Why was it sent knowing the rules? (You did not mention this earlier?)

I sent it because i didn't have original one until date of application for last 7 days. But i got it signed and stamped by Bank Manager. I have mentioned in Covering Letter I have attached stamped statement for transaction from dates 22/03/2010 to 31/03/2010 and waiting for the original one from Bank which I will post As soon I receive it.

I am not sure, if the HO can link the documents, if they don't have ref number. In other words, if you send your documents, do you think, HO will be able to link the documents?

They can link the documents just by your name so you are alright there.

Just write name, nationality, date of birth, passport number for them to trace your app.

Fill out change of circumstances form as well available on their website. Dont wait until you have received Ack as some people have reported that they got the visa but never received ack from UKBA

regards

Hi,

when I applied for my tier 1 I also sent a statement I took from the bank which was signed and stamped. (as the original statement was not due for another 2 weeks). The printout you take from the bank normally has your sort code and account number on the top, which is more than enough to verify that it belongs to the applicant. IMO, you are safe.
Then again if you still want to send it, I see no harm in it.

regards,
all is well that ends well

It's just got transactions on it and it's signed and stamped by manager. she said we have stopped printing cust details on these statements they are only provided which you receive in post.

hmm, that is a bit strange for a UK banking society. Anyways, it has not been that long and you can still send your originals. All the best with your application.

my application form went to UKBA office in Durham while change of circumstances form says it should go to Shefield. Could you guys guide me through as where to send it to ? If i send it to Shefield will they forward it to caseworker themselves or do i have to send it myself to him another copy of it to durham office?

If they persist not to print your account number and sort code than you can try another branch. You should take Tier 1 guidance with you and Ask them it is a requirement to apply for the visa. Secondly also ask them to write it on their letterhead that the printed statements are genuine. For some reasons banks dont print their statements on their letterheads so if you have an accompanying letter stating thats its authentic than it will work but still remember you need bank account number, sort code, ur name on those printed bank statements.. keep trying all the branches and you will get sorted.

Are you sure? Friday was a holiday so they could have only received your application on 6th April which is tuesday. How do you know they took payment on 5th April because that was bank holiday?

I checked my credit card online transactions and on 05/04/2010 820 pounds was requested and it appeared as pending transaction.

Good Friday was a holiday but Post Office girl said special delivery would cost you 8.61 pounds but it will be delivered on Friday. Next day Royal Mail website showed item delivered on 02.10.2010
