Post by agaurav009 » Mon Mar 15, 2010 4:59 am

Hi All,
Has anybody applied for General-Tier-2-dependent visa lately. I wanted to get some idea about how long its taking. Is it only my wife's case that is taking so long or its a general things since last few days. We applied 4 weeks back and we are still waiting.
Please let me know if anybody has any information.

Anand

Amit,
Are you asking about Tier-2 or Tier-2-dependent?

Hi,
I don't think I may be able to advice you here as my dependents are in India and I had come to UK on Tier 2. They have applied for dependent visa in India and only my WP copy + additional documents as specified were required.
Since its been quite some time that the application was filed, I wanted to know i there was general delay.
Regards,
Amit

Hi Amit,
When did you apply and where?
I applied (for my wife) at Delhi VFS centre on 15th Feb and then my wife gave the biometrics there itself and now we are still waiting. Its 6th week now and no accept, no reject!!!!
What about you?
I got married on 9th Feb and we applied on 15th Feb.
I moved to UK on Tier2 in August,2009.

Thanks
Anand

Hi Anshuman,
The biometric details are generally taken at the time of application. You can see the details of the documents needed here
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ependants/
Yes, she should be able to apply from Chandigarh, need not goto Delhi.
Have a look below:

Dear agaurav009 & amit1209,

Can you please update if your dependent's got their visas yet??

If yes, how much time did it take post biometrics and all....my dependent submitted docs and biometrics close to 3 weeks back and we haven't heard from them yet??

Is this normal delay these days.

A reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi gaurav,

Is you visa Tier 2 ICT category??
Where did your dependents fill it from??
Have u tried tracking it any source, I mean trying to get the status of application from anywhere like VFS or consulate?

If you can provide me your contact number so that i may speak to you personally. I am kinda getting very anxious due to the delay in visa.

Also does the travel date u mention in visa application form has any correlation to the timeline of processing it??

thanks
sid
