Refused Visa Question

Post by hsmp_apr2010 » Thu Apr 08, 2010 6:28 am

Hi,

I applied for HSMP in 2007 while I was in UK on Tier 2 (Work Permit). HSMP was a two stage process that time where you have to get an initial approval and once that is approved submit your passport for visa stamping.

My initial approval was rejected due to insufficient points. And hence my passport never went as far as visa stamping(Stage 2).
Since it was only rejection of initial approval I continued to stay in UK on my Work Permit visa. I am planning to apply for Tier 1 G again and this time I am a outside country applicant.

In the personal details form for Outside country applicants Question 6.3 asks about "Have you ever been refused a visa for any country?"

I am confused here as to should I say YES or NO.
I am more deviated towards saying NO as my visa was never refused, it was only the initial approval and hence even my passport doesn't have any rejection stamp on it.

Please can you help me on this?

Regards,
R

If the application was refused it will be recorded as such on he watchlists, it would be foolish to fail to mention it, stamp or no stamp.

hi dear,

i was in the same situation last year because my application for HSMP was refused in 2006. i applied again for HSMP(tier 1 general) in dec, 2009. as only my application was refused that time thats why i tick NO to that question and i got tier 1 general visa.

therefore i would suggest you to tick NO to that questsion.

regards,

shah
