ILr- Rental Income

Post by PK » Wed Apr 07, 2010 5:47 pm

Hi Guys

I will Apply for ILR soon under HSMP JR. My P-60 show my income of around £20 K only so I want to show my rental Income as well. My problem is If i do self assessment on my retal income do i have to pay the tax on that before i apply for my ILR.

I can pay my Rent Income tax by Jan 2011. Will the H office ask why I haven't paid my tax yet, or can i get my Accountant to write that I've got until Jan 2011.

Plz help

there's no problem showing 20k - as this shows your economic activity under HSMP. don't worry too much.

I am going for ILR under HSMP (JR)
MY 2006-2007 P60 IS LESS THAN 5K AND MY
2008-2009 P60 IS LESS THAN 9K.

So I am not sure how this is going to fit in... would the earnings make a difference?

If you are economically active how do you prove with such low incomes?

Thank you for your thoughts...

Hey Guys

Thanks for your reply. I was not sure if £20 K was enough so just thought I should include my rental Income. If they see my mortgage debit amount on my bank statement and ask for the property details I will have to submit those documents, and the adderess to the property I own will be different to the one I'm living in so thats my worry as well.

I'm living in a shared accomodation and hence renting.

I'm really confused and am even considering to have an appointment with an Immigration consultant.

Plz advise

what sort of work do you do man?

14K over four years for a highly skilled worker looks suspecious to start off with...

With the limited info available as to why you were on such low income, it's diff to comment...

Good luck!
