CYPRUS ... CAN ANYBODY HELP !!!

Post by jara555 » Sun Apr 11, 2010 9:23 pm

HI FRIENDS

I AM IN CYPRUS MARRIED WITH A CYPRIOT WOMAN FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS BUT STILL THE MIGRATIONS DIDN'T ISSUE ME THE TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT(PINK SLIP) THEY NEVER SENT ANY LETTER AND NEVER MADE ANY INVESTIGATION INTO MY CASE.
BUT I AM WORKING AND TRAVELLING LEGALLY AS A CYPRIOT HUSBAND.

DURING THESE 5 YEARS , I WENT WITH MY WIFE TO ENGLAND FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR AND I GOT THE RESIDENCE CARD FROM THE UK.
WE ARE BACK IN CYPRUS BUT STILL MY APPLICATION FOR THE RESIDENCE PERMIT IS PENDING.
I WANT TO APPLY FOR THE PASSPORT, BUT THEY SAY I MUST HAVE THE RESIDENCE PERMIT IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR THE CYPRUS PASSPORT.

IS THERE ANYBODY TO HELP ME OR ANYBODY WHO CAN COMMENT ON THE CYPRUS MIGRATION PROCEDURES !!!

Can´t help you on the content, but asking your question in normal writing and not just CAPITALS might help.

This is pretty unreadable.

Enjoy Cyprus, good luck :)

Unfortunately the Cypriot migration/immigration authorities are notorious for their outrageous conduct. Just check out this recent article: ‘Beaten and choked’ by immigration officer.

Actually you can demand a five-years "yellow slip" (the equivalent of the UK's "residence card") instead of a one-year "pink slip" as the Supreme Court of Cyprus ruled in favour of applying the EU directive 2004/38 to its own citizens a few years ago. See this post for details: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 239#362239

Print out a copy of the court decision (it's included at the bottom of this document: http://ec.europa.eu/justice_home/doc_ce ... udy_en.pdf ) download and fill in a relevant application form (MEU2A) from this page http://moi.gov.cy/new/index.php?m=62&sm=88&l=2 and bring them both to the immigration.
