5.5 months waiting for residence card in Sweden

Post by kadsac » Tue Apr 13, 2010 8:00 pm

We register our right of residence more than 5 months ago. my wife (British) and myself a non-eu. when we applied my wife was pregnant but was on maternity pay and i started working in sweden. we applied on self-sufficient basis. since then our son was born (5 months old today). my wife has now started work and i am staying home with our son.
my question is that due to our change of circumstances can migrationsverket (swedish immigration) further delay our application or do we have rights to demand an answer because EU law states that they have to make a decision within 6 months.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

cheers.
