Ali,

Have you called Abu Dhabi embassy? Ask them to make sure they have not lost your wife's passport or misplaced it somewhere. They won’t tell you the time frame but will tell you if it is under consideration or not. It does seem that the time frame for the decision is 2-3 months.

Best

hi guys,

thanks for the support. Yes I called the Abu Dhabi office and all they have to say that it is under consideration. I have also emailed them, and still waiting for a reply from a real person. I have already recieved enumerous automated replies. As long as it is sorted in the end I dont mind the wait.

Lets hope for the best!

Ali

Have you applied from Karachi VAC or LHR VAC and when did you apply? I have applied from KHI VAC on 2nd Feb 2010.

Hi ifti12,

My wife applied from Lahore VAC and to be honest I think all the VACs in pakistan are lousy except Mirpur. I have read stories on the forum that people get their visa within 4-6 weeks of their application.
Finally, still no update from my side the tracking status is the same.

PS: With the current fly situation in UK, even with the visa my wife can’t come.

I am actually writing regularly on the other thread but was reading this one as well..

Count me in as one of those distressed ones as well..

Applied for a dependent visa on: 25th Feb from KHI VAC
Application Processed in Abu Dhabi on: 12th April
Couriered to ISB BHC: 13th April
Response: I make 5 calls to FedEx every day and their only response is that ur appl is still with ISB BHC

When had you applied?

Hi Iqraa,

It is very strange for the ISB BHC to keep your passport for such a long time. Especially as the visa is given in Abu Dhabi and the work of ISB BHC is just a courier service. Generally they pass it on to Gerry’s within couple of days. My concern will be that they have forgotten about you passport. Try contacting ISB BHC directly.

Hi dr_in_distress,

Count me in, still no update as of today. I have been real patient with them, and as I feel like I am loosing it I keep reminding myself that I dont want to give them any excuse.
Waiting for Iqra's update. Still fingers crossed.

sorry to hear the about the refusal. I would recommend to go for an appeal, there are details on the Gerry's website. They have made mistakes like these in the past, just be positive and go for it.

ps: My wife got her passport yesterday and she got the visa for Tier 1 dep. This was after 3 long months.
