Dear Friends,

I am on Tier 1 general visa, Is it OK to work in any field (which does not need a Tier 1) say running a off license shop or doing some other business etc ? Wont this be a problem for ILR or Tier 1 extention ?

Or is it mandatory to work in only the field in which I got points for my visa ?

You can work whatever you wish to unless its written on your visa stamp (Cannot work as Doctor in Training) as long as you earn enough money to extend your visa etc you are fine.

But it may well change in near future.
