is that your fault or theirs?

on the day of appointment, you should notify someone and they will guide you.

Hi,

On the day of your appointment the officer will give you a form with your details in it including your first name, last name, nationality and date of birth and will ask you if the information is correct? that is when you need to notify the officer that your date of birth is not corret... good luck with you application . Cheers.

I had sent my application via post with 100% accurate details including the fact that my passport, my application form, my postal orders all have my correct date of birth.

Thanks,
Harish

Hi Folks,
Spoke to UKBA they said they would send me a new letter.

So I guess I should wait , but if what you say is true, then in case I dont get new letter in time, I can still go ahead and fix appointment and on day of appointment, can I explain that the date of birth is wrong?

Will that be an issue?
What is your best advice on the course of action?

Thanks,
Harish

could be an issue if you now proceed for biometric appointment as HO is in the process to issue you with NEW letter so that you can make an appointment with correct details. might be worth checking with HO if you can book an appointment without needing any new letter to save time...

Thanks,

I will check with HO in a couple of days if I still dont get new letter.
Worst case I might just have to walk into the post office.

Will post update as soon as I get.
It would really be nice to see the efficiency of the HO.

Its simple call them ASAP , inform them of the mistake and they will correct and send them across the required corrected letter to you. You need to quote case reference number
