Sorry for the confusion, but that was the question ?mhunjn wrote:Why do you say so?... Did you apply at Dudley or Liverpool?...bubbles wrote: Does that means Dudley / Liverpool is not a ideal place to apply at the moment ?
Because that is where they will send your naturalisation certificate!ezh wrote:Hi confused1,confused1 wrote:...I should be receiving it pretty soon.
did they tell you how soon exactly? I have a similar situation and they told me "in a couples of weeks". One week has already gone since. They also told me they are about to contact my local council about my ceremony (?). Why do they need to contact it - does anybody know?

Ok, bbdivo. So it means they send you an app. letter only after they have had contacted your council. Is it right?
you wont be sent your naturalisation certificate, you will receive it from the mayor or whoever is officiating the cermonywill send your naturalisation certificate!
Not necessarily. a lot of councils do not send letters. Mine doesn't.I received two letters from the IND - one a letter saying I had approval and the other a citizenship ceremony invitation. I had to contact the council on my own.ezh wrote:

My wife just received the citizenship invitation directly and nothing else.
