My friends grannies mates goldfish says...

Unlike the asylum seekers get free cars and gaffs myth, this one, I hope, has an element of truth to it. For example, your average American has no real benefit in obtaining Irish citizenship. Unless he wants to work in an EU member state. Remember, Americans can visit all EU 27 member states for 90 days without a visa.

Now compare that your average middle class Nigerian(who are here for the welfare, 62% of Nigerian adults in the Irish state are on the social). Of course the Irish government should scrutinise certain nationalities applications more so than others.

Its simple cop on.

I have had the pleasure of knowing plenty of Nigerian doctors, nurses and IT professionals. They are very well educated and highly professional and great friends.

I'll encourage y'all to ignore this guy no matter what he writes henceforth. He obviously crave the attention and am sure y'all agree with me that no one's time is worth it. His plan is to derail this thread and that's not going to happen.

God bless

IrishTom,

We love you.

It is ok if you are mean to us, we love you.
It is ok if you don't like us, little to say love us, but we do love you.
It is ok, if you are alone on these difficult times, in these moments, on this day, we love you.
It is ok, if you don't want to reach out, we will reach out to you, we love you.
It is ok, if you are white and some of us are not. For us love is color blind and we love you more.
It is ok, if you don't want to share, we will share with you that is because we love you.
It is ok, if you don't like others, we understand, still and will always love you.
It is ok, if you are in pain, we share your pain too and that is because we love you.

Hey, it is ok, you can be whatever you want, your choice, your life, only one life though but remember when time passes by...We will always love you Tom.

With love.
Nana

From feedbacks on this forum. It would appear it serves very little purpose. I think they already have a standard response for such queries. There's probably no harm in trying it though. You may also contact them in writing yourself, if you haven't done so.

Can you share your timeline please?

Do you know if they have your social welfare report yet? Have you tried obtaining your social welfare report and forward it to INIS. In my on case (I have a similar timeline as you), It turned out they were waiting on my SW report for months. All I needed was to contact Dept of SW, I forwarded the report to INIS and that was it.

O' Bayern. Heartiest congratulations. We got approval the same day but I took my oath on the 15th and documents sent the same day. It's amazing you got approval in 19 days. Hopefully, I'll get mine next week. Good luck with the passport mate. Do let us know when you get it.

Cheers.

Congratulations!!
Your certificate, came rather faster than usual.
I sent my declaration in on the 18th March, and I'm yet to receive the certificate..though I did wrote to them 2weeks later, to change my correspondence address to my Dublin office. May be it was already sent then .
My permanent house address, is 3hrs away from Dublin, and I'm only at that house, 1 weekend a month..

Hi SapMan.I really don't know what is happening in DoJLR,and I was rather shocked(in a nice way) to receive cert in less than 3 weeks, because ...well,we all know the way public service(INIS) doing the job.By the way,the date on the cert is 19th,so everything been done in just 11!!!days.Hard to believe, but true. Best of luck with your cert,it'll come very soon,im sure.

Once you get your Naturalisation Cert, you don't need a GNIB card.

That's the point Gandhai. You do not need GNIB card anymore. You are an Irish citizen now. Go and apply for your passport ASAP.

Congratulations

But still my question is unanswered.Do they return GNIB CARD or retain it
