IS the ILR application out of time?

Post by eva82me » Sun Apr 25, 2010 10:39 pm

Dear all,

I have a question regarding the ILR application time. I would be grateful if anybody can give me some advices.

My husband is going to apply for his ILR application very soon. He first entered UK on 07/09/1999 and is currently holding a 5 years work visa which valid until the end of 2012.

My question is:

(1) Since he first entered UK on 07/09/1999, it's more than 10 and half years now. Is it an out of time application?

(2) Do we need to supply any absence details after 07/09/2009 (10 years) in the SET(O) form? (SECTION 6 – immigration history)

I look forward to your reply. Thank you very much!

1/ You dont have to apply right on the 10year dot. You can apply anytime from 28days before onwards.

2/ For the purposes of the application, today his 10year stay is from 26/04/2000 to 26/04/2010. Supply absences between those 2 dates
