P60 Query

Post by ozgrant » Sat Apr 24, 2010 10:35 am

How does UKBA treat P60s? My salary is paid monthly for the period 1st to the last of each month. But the P60 refers to year ending 5th April? If I have this in conjunction with income earnt from 1st April 2009 to 31 March 2010, and those figures are exactly what is on the P60, is this acceptable?

Thanks in advance.

hang on... so your two different sources to prove your income are........................................???

P60 is issued for a fixed period in a financial year. be very sure it covers the SAME 12 months period that you are showing from second source

My two sources are payslips and bank statements. But I have my P60 as backup just in case (applying in person). The P60 amounts match exactly my earnings for previous 12 months, as we operate on calendar months. i.e., my pay period is 1st April to 31st March, and the P60 reports these amounts. My concern was that the P60 refers to the date 5th April.

Thanks.

You should be fine in case if they do not accept your payslips for some reason your p60 can be considered as a different source.

Hi,

In my case, the claim period is 01-March-2009 to 28-Feb-2010.

I am planning to submit Payslips and Bank statement as proof. In addition to this P60 form as well.
Since 2009 March month falls within 2008-2009 financial year, I have a separate P60 form for 2008-2009 year. And separete P60 form 2009-2010 financial year.

So i am going to submit 2 P60 forms, Will this confuse the Caseworker? please advice..

Regards,
Shobitha
