Work Permit to Tier 1 General

Post by JB_WP » Sat Apr 24, 2010 10:43 am

Hi, I am currently on WP and will finish 5 years in UK on DEC-2011. I have Bachelor's degree and with my current circumstances I am satiffying HSMP Tier1 PBS.

Since HSMP is opened for Bachelors, I have few question to take this decision,

1. Is it worth to switch to Tier1 General or current WP track is advisable for me.
2. If I switch to HSMP then to get ILR which is due in DEC 2011 (if 5 yrs crieteria remains same) will I have to satisfy current HSMP rules i.e. Same Income Band etc. or there will be new rules?
Why I am asking is if I don't have job or less income in future then will my next Ext. for HSMP or conversion to ILR will get affected?

Please advise.

Thanks,
JB

1. Tier1(G) Visa will give you freedom to switch jobs and u dont need to worry abt ur employer will remove u n u have to leave the country

2. no there is nothing like that for ILR .. both are nearly same apart with Tier1 u can switch jobs..
