Travelling in EU

Post by Monts123 » Sun May 02, 2010 8:30 am

Can the holders of Tier 1 (General) visa travel to other EU countries?

If not, do they require a new visa each time they want to travel to another EU country?

Whether one requires a visa to travel to EU countries depends on the citizenship/nationality of the person and not on the Tier 1 visa in his passport.

Visa required! Even better, visit the consulate website of the country you wish to travel to!

Hello,

The reason for my query is that I read somewhere that if you hold a UK work visa, you also get residence permit. And with that, you are allowed to travel to EU countries as a visitor.

Can someone help me confirm the above info?

Thank you.

Monts123, no matter how you dress up the question, the fact is you will almost certainly need a visa if you wish to travel within Europe!
Unless you're going to a european country where Indian citizens do not normally require a visa (can't think of a single one off my head, though. :| )
