Format - Maintenance funds in multiple Fixed Deposits

Post by abhishek-m » Fri Apr 30, 2010 12:11 pm

I have maintenance funds in more than one Fixed Deposit Accounts of the same bank. Please let me know if I should take multiple Fixed Deposit Certificates (1 each for each Fixed Deposit) or can i have single letter from bank with all the accounts listed.

I was thinking of requesting following letter from bank, please let me know if you have any suggestions:

--------------------------------------------

Fixed Deposit Certificate

Date: XX-YYY-2010

This is to certify that Mr <Name>, S/o. Mr <Father's Name>, Address <Address> is having following fixed deposits with our bank:

Account Number Amount Held From FD Due on
<Acc#> <XXXX> <dd-mmm-yyyy> <dd-mmm-yyyy>
<Acc#> <YYYY> <dd-mmm-yyyy> <dd-mmm-yyyy>

We confirm that balance mentioned above is held in the respective accounts from the date mentioned above as “Held Fromâ€

Hi Abishek,

Did you get any reply in regard to using multiple deposits?

Even I have the same scenario, but I have two fixed deposits, each FD belongs to different banks.

Seniors, please help us with this query.

Regards,
Shobitha

I know its been long since initial post but the piece of information might help future applicants.
I did apply with multiple FD accounts though from the same bank(ICICI Bank) and it was accepted.
