12 months in last 15 months immediately before application

Post by Devanshi » Wed May 12, 2010 3:13 pm

If I wish to apply on 15/05/2010 for Tier 1, which period will be counted as 15 months -

A. Feb 1 2009 to April 30 2010 OR
B. Feb 15 2009 to May 14 2010.

Could not decide this from homeoffice guidance. Please help.

101. All the periods we specify are calendar months (for example 14 January – 13 February).

Hi ,

Application Date: 15/05/2010

15 months before application: March 15, 2000 to MAY 14,2010

12 months within the period : MAY 15 , 2010 to MAY 14, 2010

This is the best option you have to consider for your case.

Please note that

1) All payments credit to account per month for 12 months
2) Exactly match the pay slip / company letter
3) Bank statement clearly show your name . It is on official paper from Bank .

Thats it .........
Thanks

Ali

Earning for 12 months and calender months

Post by Devanshi » Thu May 13, 2010 9:54 am

Hi Ali and Sush,

Thanks for guidance. I have the same feeling while reading Home office guuidance. I have some more confusion.

1. I was in Singapore on business visa for 28 days spanning 13 days in november 2010 and 15 days in dec 2010. My salary was paid in india as usual on end of the month. I have to declare in form that I was in Singapore during this period and can not calculate uplift ration on this portion.
My worry here is that should I pro rate November and December salary according to time spent in India and then apply the uplift ratio for the period spent in India? Will this pro rata allocation be accepted?

2. I came in middle of the Feb to UK. I have Indian and UK salary slip for Feb. Can I apply uplift ratio to the indian portion (pro rated by period in India)

3. In March I didn't recieve the salary slip due to wrong address issue in my c ompany. They issued me a letter on letterhead instead. Is it OK to submit letter for 1 month and salary slip for 11 months?

Also, in that month my net salary was very low as advance taken in India was deducted in that month. How will it be considered.

Your timely guidance is appreciated as I am planning to apply on Monday. Looking at these complexities, should I hire a slocitor?

Hi Ali,

Thanks for your response. All salary slips are on month end and payment to bank account is on the last day of the month. So How do I allocate amount to Singapore Visit?

Also, in the UK salary slip for Feb, Gross is 2500, net is 500 because I took 2000 GBP as advance in cash, which was deducted from salary. Bank payment on the month end is only 500 GBP. Will it affect earnings for that month?
