Post by Boudicca » Thu May 13, 2010 12:44 am

Based on the experiences of others here in comparison, and the general consensus on this board, am I likely to be approved for a Tier 1 General Visa?

It depends on the documents you provide, we can't really say anything unless you come out with proper details.
Please list all the documents and points claiming for each attribute, also please provide the previous income in GBP after uplift ratio with points claiming for that attribute.
Goodluck.

i have got one question to ask you from earnings that is from the year 2008 to 2010.
are you trying to show the two years salary.
Just for yours info tier1 applicant need to show 12 months salary in 15 months duration. please read more info in UK BIA website.

thought to bring this point in-front of u. Do sum home work before actually applying 4 tier 1

YES i agreed with iD.

cheers

I agree with last two posts. You can only work out your previous earnings based on 12 of the last 15 months. You have calculated it for well over this, so your earnings are wrong.

The rest looks fine.

Boudicca,
It appears that u have taken great pains to understand the criteria required for the various parameters. But I'm sorry to say that your interpretation is all wrong in the earnings segment. As other members have pointed out u can only calculate ur earnings for 12 months consecutively in a period of 15 months prior to application.
Immigration law is mystery and a mastery in obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure that out are worth their weight in gold.

Thanks, everyone!

Good points, all.

I have also contacted some immigration solicitors to get their opinion (they will often give you a quick opinion of your likelihood via phone or email without an appointment, but obviously cannot provide total advice unless you become a client and pay their fees).

Thank you.
