Application form - question on depedents

Post by tnk » Sat May 15, 2010 2:45 pm

I have some confusion while filling the personal details form (vaf9).My situation is that I am waiting for my son’s passport so planning to apply for Tier 1 (General) visa alone. My plan for my dependents (wife and son) is that once I get the visa I will apply for theirs also while I am in India.
So I may be traveling along with my family to UK but will be applying for visa separately.
My question is what I should write for following question

5.1 Is your partner accompanying you or joining you later? If they are traveling later please provide their date of travel in Part 7.
(If single go to 5.6) Put a cross (x) in the relevant box
Yes / No / NA

5.6 Do you have any children under 18 accompanying you
or joining you at a later date? Put a cross (x) in the relevant box
Yes / No / NA

5.7 If ‘Yes’ please provide full details about the child/children.
For this question I need to provide information about child’s passport which is not available now.what should I write in the column

Does answering “ yesâ€

No, caseworker do not expect ur dependents application should go along with yours at the same time...

but applying everybody together will definetely makes things easy;

you can say they will accompany you... n give their details as you have sufficient maintenance funds with you;

Thnaks for your quick reply this clears my confusion.

For question 5.7 (my earlier message) in the column for passport no. of the child can I mention " applied for passport, expecting in 30-45 days".
