Post ILR Question (Old HSMP)

Post by Alagomeji » Sun May 16, 2010 8:47 pm

Hello All,
I got my ILR in april (2010) after being in the country on an HSMP for 5 years. Today, I was looking at the documentation that came with my ILR, and I noticed that the date of my ILR has been backdated to May 2009 (I guess that's because of the judicial decision).

It seems to me that with this document, I am actually able to apply for a UK passport as from the end of this month (1 year after ILR). Can anyone confirm that this is truly the case?

Thanks

Lucky you, yes you are eligible. You may need Life in UK test if you do not have it already.
All the best
