Approved Tier 2 (General) Visa. Updated Time Frames

Hi All,

I have got an approval for Tier 2(General) today. following are the time stamps for each phase.

Time took for sponsor to get license: Two and half months
Time it took to get a COS : 1 week
Application sent : 01 April 2010
Money deducted : 02 April 2010
Acknowledgment received: 07 April 2010
Invitation to enroll biometrics : 14 April 2010
Biometrics enrolled 21 April 2010
Documents and Passport received : 12 May 2010

got a letter saying that i am approved Tier 2 visa and will receive my ICNF Card in 7 days which is proof of my Residence Permit.

I need a small clarification,
How did you recieve your documents from HO?
By Royal Mail recorded delivery?

You were right Arjun when you said that decision for Tier 2 general normally comes about three weeks after submitting biometrics. I received my ICFN yesterday, May 14, 2010. It came before my passport and documents, but the accompanying letter said 'I will receive the documents soon' My guess is that they are in the post already.


Any news on UKBA's visit to your company?

@kumans1000 - yes i received it through royal mail.

@Timbob - the home office personnel is visiting our company in last week of this month...lets see how it goes! fingers crossed...

and by he way timbob how many years did you get your visa for?

@ Arjun, sorry for the late reply. My Tier 2 visa is for three years. This matches the length of time on my certificate of sponsorship
