I believe you Cardi..I have seen the HO do more stranger things.. and your story, which i hope is true even though many on here doubt it, atleast it gives the rest of us hope!

congrats again :)
actually I saw the above post on the same day Cardi posted here, and is exactly the same wording,I never doubted her authenticity on the ILR thing, she shared her story on both forums, and she provided information on supporting documents on the other post as well, responded to a request. HO does strange things occasionally to the few lucky ones, give you one more example, a friend of mine apply her SAR got the pack in 1.5weeks,and took me 4months to receive mine, is this fair?no,but there are always people very lucky, that doesn't make me cynical about everything and verbally attack others. If you want to change your luck, do whatever it takes, contact your MPs, send HO letters, call them non-stop annoy the hell out of them.

Cardi chose not to respond to some of the unfriendly msgs, I can understand, one of you verbally abused her by picking on her spelling, that's just low.....I see professors even business directors send out emails with typos all the time....that doesn't mean they can't do the job well....

anyway, lets hope we all can get ours bk sooner :)

Its the exact same story that was posted here.. Cardi and 'the other person' (on uk resident forum) = the same person.

The post on the other forum got 15 replies, 8 of which are from who I would like to believe is Cardi.

Who here is a genuine 10 year applicant and who is here just to "wind" people up?
kiwigirl25, I checked again on the other Forum (I've been a supporting member there for some time now), I think what Beige meant was, Cardi replied to 8 of the msg other people left there, and Cardi became a member of the other forum on the same date she posted here.

anyway,Kiwigirl25,lets pray we'll get ours back soon....

My sensibilities still tell me that Cardi is faking it, and most probably up to something here for and on behalf of the HO and UKBA staff.

Oh really....
Or the actual reason being:
1. As long as you had not created a seperate thread, such ideas were not being aired by you.
2. Now that you were allowed to create a seperate thread, fishing in troubled waters as a retaliatory measure for past perceived grievances against this thread?

So this is your actual reason for the recent outburst of petulance against this thread as in the past, time and again, you have complained on this thread that some people on this thread try to "wind" you up. Hmm....

Some people's faith is so fragile that, perhaps, just a single dubious post in an otherwise excellent thread makes them 'wary of the validity' of the entire thread.

although this is very entertaining for a tuesday afternoon, i think we need to stop this nonsense! I personally dont think cardi is a bogus user

she posted 2 identical posts in 2 different immigration forums.. so what, ive done that too in the past to increase the audience that views it. Then think about what motivation someone has to lie about this kind of thing?

stop it already!

zeddie. I dont know about you, but I certainly will NOT come in here and talk about my life story, educational path, career prospects, etc, etc [especially after the ILR granted].

Stick to the topic of the discussion.

If people want to chat because they have nothing better to do or spend time speculating about others and judging others, please find another place (website) to do so.

If this doesn't stop immediately, this discussion will be locked and people accusing and insulting others, and/or repeatedly using this discussion to exchange their life stories may find their posts deleted and their membership cancelled.

WELLCOME - at least one person is back to the topic! Yes, lest just move back to usual discussion as I dont want this thread to be closed.

I phoned BIA today - well, was making totally different enquiry but also asked if my application was considered yet - they refused to disclose information and asked me to call after 13-14 weeks. So I have no choice but to sit and wait.

So guys, did anyone else hear any news?

I called the HO today since my application just passed the 14th week mark,
they gave me the standard answer 'your application is not yet complete!'

but the pace of the answer was quicker than I expected,I will try again when the 28th week approaches.

best of luck everyone

Hi every one. I applied on 10/05/10, letter received on 11/05/10 from croydon saying that they have received my application and they will be passing to the caseworker, but one thing is making me worry that they havent taken money yet!

I applied on (Long residence 10 years lawful on student)

Hi superstar (love your user name)

They, UKBA, usually don't send the acknowledgement letter unless they've debited the money. Give it another couple of days to show on your account/statement. It could still be in the "system". If I remember correctly (it was a very long time ago now) my payment didn't come out of my account until 3 days after the acknowledgement letter.
